What fun! John Webb and Mary Boone, daughter of George Boone III, were my 7x great grandparents. Which makes us-- what?

Uncle John~ It's taken me awhile to be in "the right place" to read this. I just finished reading through tears and smiles. Well done and Thank you for honoring Dad on your blog.

Hello,

I was searching for Harry Belinger on the internet because I just had to see him or hear about him again (being my grandfather). And, my mom, Lizanne "Belinger" Hayes, told me to read what you wrote. So I did and just want to let you know that it made me so happy, thank you!

I found your article of your relationhip to Abraham Lincoln and Daniel Boone.

I am a descendant of Benjamin Greer & Nancy Wilcoxson (daughter of Sarah Cassandra Boone & John Wilcoxson). It was rumored that we were related to both Lincoln and Boone, but we had no proof, as our family history had been lost/misplaced, or destroyed over the generations.

Thank you for your research! I'll have to do a little digging through your article to see how my family fits in.

God Bless,
Debbie Burton Porter

John,

All is forgiven! Recently this month I gathered in Philadelphia with 60 of my bothers from around the world. (Shhh! Don't tell anyone but that is really how I do it all on Christmas Eve.) We gathered in Philadelphia as an offering of Peace as we too at the North Pole are tired of the bad rep given to Philadelphia fans. We visited all the sites and enjoyed the foods specific to the area. We even settled the long standing Cheesesteak War on Passyunk. So don't worry Santa loves Philadelphia and especially the Philly Fans.

We were amazed that you all had declared it Red October in honor of Santa's early visit. But when we found out it was for the World Champion Phillies we understood. Now don't tell New York but I'll be in the stands cheering the Phillies on.

Interesting article here, well written and much to think about. I wound up in a discussion with my wife over this subject earlier.
